Every cost explained, every vendor compared
One click opens the vendor, the price, the minimum quantity, the validity dates and the difference with the accounting cost — plus every other vendor price for the product, the margin each one would give, and why it does or doesn't apply. Authorized users can source a line from another vendor; it's flagged and logged, and never drives purchasing.

Expected cost from vendor pricelists
Uses Odoo's own vendor selection — preferred vendor, quantity breaks, validity dates, product variants, company, vendor unit of measure and currency. No new configuration to maintain.
Snapshot, refresh, override
Costs are frozen with the quotation and after confirmation. Refresh a line or the whole order on demand, or let an authorized user override a cost with an audit trail in the chatter.
Safe by design
The product accounting cost is never modified and Odoo's native margin fields stay untouched. Missing vendor prices fall back to the product cost with a clear warning.

FAQ
What does True Margin depend on?
Sales and Purchase — vendor prices are defined on the product's Purchase tab, the same place Odoo already looks for them.
Does it change my accounting cost or Odoo's margin fields?
No. The product's accounting cost (standard_price) is never written to, and Odoo's native margin fields are left untouched. True Margin adds its own column and fields alongside them.
What happens when a product has no vendor price?
The line falls back safely to the product's accounting cost, with a clear warning icon on purchasable products (services fall back silently). Nothing blocks the quotation.
