One button on the campaign
A new Load Filter from Contacts button appears in the header of every draft Email Marketing campaign targeting Contacts. It opens a small wizard, you pick a saved filter, preview the domain, and apply it — the campaign's recipient domain is filled in for you.

Any filter saved on the Contact model becomes a one-click recipient source for your campaigns. Build the filter once in Contacts, then apply it to as many campaigns as you like — no copy-pasting of domains.
Preview the Domain Before Applying
The wizard shows the actual domain of the selected filter before you commit. Stay in control of your targeting logic — nothing is applied behind your back.
Optional "View All Filters" Group
An optional security group lets marketing managers read every saved Contact filter — not just their own. Access stays read-only: filters can be applied, never edited or deleted through the group.
Guarded by a Clear Warning
A warning banner in the wizard reminds you that applying a filter overwrites the current campaign domain. No accidental loss of a hand-built recipient selection.
FAQ
Any filter saved on the Contact model (res.partner). Filters on other models do not appear in the wizard — only Contact filters make sense as campaign recipients.
By default each user sees only their own saved filters — standard Odoo behaviour. An optional security group Email Marketing - View All Contact Filters grants read access to every Contact filter. Access through the group is read-only: filters cannot be edited or deleted through it.
Yes — the filter's domain replaces the current Recipients domain on the campaign. A warning banner in the wizard reminds you of this before you apply. If you want to keep a hand-built selection, save it as a filter first, then apply it back later.
The Load Filter from Contacts button shows on draft Email Marketing campaigns that target Contacts (res.partner). Once the campaign is no longer a draft, the button is hidden to protect the recipient selection.
