FAQ
Any standard SFTP server — OpenSSH, WinSCP Server, FileZilla Server, or your bank's dedicated SFTP endpoint. The module uses the industry-standard paramiko Python library underneath.
The password is masked in the Odoo UI and stored consistently with how Odoo handles other integration credentials (payment provider keys, SMTP passwords, API keys). Access is restricted to users with journal configuration rights.
A red banner notification appears immediately with the error message. A chatter entry is logged on the batch with filename, remote path and error. The Uploaded to SFTP flag stays False so the batch remains in your queue. Retry at any time with Re-Upload to SFTP.
